FluencyUrduVerse terms of use
These terms apply to the UrduVerse app for iOS, published by Qubais Hafeez, trading as Fluencyverse (“we”, “us”). Please read these terms before using the app. They describe the service and its conditions of use, subject to applicable law.
What UrduVerse is
UrduVerse teaches Urdu: the Nastaliq script, vocabulary, and everyday phrases, through short lessons and spaced review. It works offline and does not require an account.
Your licence
The licence supplied through the App Store applies to your download. If no custom licence has been supplied for your country or region, Apple's standard end-user licence agreement applies. These terms supplement that licence and do not remove rights granted by it or by mandatory law.
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use UrduVerse on devices you own or control, for your personal learning, subject to the applicable App Store usage rules. Except where permitted by applicable law or an applicable licence, you may not copy, redistribute, resell, or publish the app’s lessons, audio, artwork, or other content, or extract them for use in another product or dataset, including for training machine-learning models.
Teaching content
We work hard to make the Urdu in this app accurate and natural, and it is reviewed by people who speak the language. Even so, language is contextual, regional, and alive. UrduVerse is a learning tool, not professional translation, and not legal, medical or other professional advice. Do not rely on it where a mistake would matter: legal, medical, immigration, or safety-critical situations need a qualified human.
The free version and future purchases
UrduVerse is free to download and use today, including the whole starter path. Nothing can be bought in this version.
If paid features are introduced, the price, features, renewal conditions and applicable purchase terms will be presented before you buy. Apple handles App Store billing and its purchase-refund process. You may also contact us about problems with the app; nothing here limits remedies available under applicable consumer law.
Your content and your device
Your saved learning record lives on your device. This version does not provide account backup or cloud synchronisation, and we cannot restore that save file for you. Deleting the app removes its local app data; device backups may retain copies. Selected learning metrics may be sent when usage sharing is enabled, as described in our Privacy Policy. Those metrics are not a restorable backup. Uninstalling does not delete information already sent to service providers.
Acceptable use
Do not unlawfully interfere with the app or services it uses, bypass security, or use them to harm others. Restrictions on copying or reverse engineering do not prevent activities that applicable law expressly permits.
Availability
We may update the app to fix faults, improve learning, address security or legal requirements, or change the service. For a material reduction or discontinuation, we will give reasonable advance notice where practicable. Urgent security or legal changes may require shorter notice. Changes do not remove rights or remedies you already have under applicable law.
Liability
UrduVerse is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we exclude implied warranties and are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. If you are a consumer, you keep all the statutory rights you have where you live, and nothing here overrides them.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change, the updated version will be posted here with a new date. We will give reasonable notice of material changes through the app or another appropriate notice and seek agreement where required by law. Changes apply prospectively and do not remove accrued rights. Posting revised terms alone does not replace any legally required notice or agreement.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Australia, and its courts will have jurisdiction, without affecting any right you have as a consumer to bring proceedings where you live.
